What is Frosted Zkittlez?
Frosted Zkittlez is an autoflowering hybrid sold on a candy-fruit profile. The name points to the Zkittlez family, the line that made "candy" one of the most searched aroma words after the original Zkittlez won the 2016 Emerald Cup, and to the frosty, resin-heavy look buyers expect from modern dessert strains.
Public sources do not document one consistent parentage for the name Frosted Zkittlez, and the word "Frosted" is used by several breeders for unrelated crosses. We do not publish a lineage for that reason. Our lot is selected and described by its aroma.
For seed shops, the draw is clear: Zkittlez is a name customers already know, and the autoflowering format suits balcony, outdoor and quick indoor runs.
Aroma and terpene profile
Our lot leads with sweet, sugary candy, close to fruit chews, layered over frosted tropical fruit such as mango and pineapple. The profile is sweet rather than gassy, which places it with the fruit and candy strains on a menu rather than with OG or diesel lines. Terpene data for this exact name is not consistent across sources, so we describe it by aroma.
When you list Frosted Zkittlez in your own shop, lead with candy and tropical fruit. Those are the words customers use when they search for this family. A short line on the frosty, resin-heavy look of the flowers helps on product pages with photos. Keep the description to aroma and plant traits, and avoid borrowing lineages from other "Frosted" strains, which are different crosses.
Plant traits
- Type: hybrid, autoflowering
- Lineage: not consistently published
- Seed to harvest: about 9–11 weeks, a typical range for modern autos
- Structure: compact to medium plant, suited to small spaces and outdoor runs
- Flowers: frosty, resin-coated buds with a sweet candy aroma
Growing notes for the autoflowering line. Autoflowering plants switch to bloom on their own after a few weeks of growth, whatever the light schedule. Indoors, most growers run 18 or 20 hours of light from seed to harvest. Because the vegetative phase is short, autos are usually sown straight into their final pot and trained only lightly, since heavy topping or transplant stress leaves little time to recover. Outdoors in Southern Europe, several runs per season are possible from spring to early autumn. For a shop, this is the easiest format to recommend to first-time and balcony growers.
Figures are breeder and grower references, not guarantees. Results depend on the environment and handling.
