What is Master Kush?
Master Kush is one of the classic Dutch-era kush strains. It was developed in Amsterdam in the early 1990s from two landrace plants from different parts of the Hindu Kush mountains, the range between Afghanistan and Pakistan that gave the world most of its old indica genetics. Strain libraries also list it as High Rise and Grandmaster Kush.
The autoflowering version keeps that kush backbone and adds ruderalis genetics, so the plant starts flowering by age instead of by light schedule. The result is a short, sturdy plant with the dense, resinous flowers the original is known for.
For a shop, Master Kush is a recognized name with a long track record. It speaks to customers who want a traditional hash-style kush rather than a dessert strain, and the autoflowering format makes it easy to sell to beginners and small-space growers.
Kush strains from the Hindu Kush region were the base of Dutch breeding in the 1980s and 1990s. Master Kush is one of the few names from that era that still appears on almost every serious seed menu.
Aroma and terpene profile
Our lot of Master Kush has a vintage peppery spice over rich, pungent earth. Strain libraries describe the original in similar terms: earthy and pungent, with a hint of incense and the smell of hand-rubbed hash. A light citrus note can come through when the flowers are broken.
Published profiles list myrcene as the leading terpene, followed by beta-caryophyllene and limonene. Myrcene gives the earthy, musky base, caryophyllene the black-pepper spice, and limonene the faint citrus lift.
For a product page or a seed pack label, a short description works best: “old-school kush with peppery spice, damp earth and hash”. The aroma deepens during the cure, when the earthy, incense-like notes become more pronounced.

Autoflowering seeds sell well in spring and early summer, when outdoor and balcony growers stock up, and all year to indoor growers who run short cycles. Packs of 100 are the usual starting point for shops testing a new name; packs of 1,000 suit distributors and private-label brands that repack in 3, 5 or 10-seed formats.
You can mix Master Kush with any other strain and line in the same order to reach the €500 minimum. Because the volume discount is counted per strain, ordering several packs of Master Kush together earns a better price than spreading the same budget across many names.
