Building a wholesale seed range: feminized, autoflowering and triploid lines in one order

A seed bank or grow shop rarely needs only one line. Most wholesale ranges combine three families, because each one serves a different buyer and a different season.

What each line does in your range

• Feminized seeds grow into female photoperiod plants. They suit indoor growers and mother plant programmes, and they are the format most shops are asked for.
• Autoflowering seeds flower by plant age rather than light cycle. Cycles are shorter and plants more compact, which makes them popular with beginners and with customers who want more than one harvest in a season.
• Triploid seeds carry three sets of chromosomes. Their fertility is very low, so flowers set few or no seeds even when pollen is nearby. They are aimed at commercial producers who need seedless flowers.

A simple starting mix

For a first order, six to eight strains is a practical range. Include two or three feminized strains with dessert or gas profiles, one or two autoflowering strains, and a triploid line if some of your customers are licensed or commercial growers. Start with packs of 100 seeds per strain to test demand.

Move to larger packs when a strain sells

Once a strain sells well, consider packs of 1,000 seeds. Volume discounts apply per strain and pack size, so the discount grows with the number of packs of the same strain in your order.
